Travel Insurance: Your Safety Net

Anticipating potential risks is key to a seamless journey, and for travelers venturing to Nepal with us at Hike Heights, securing travel insurance is not just a suggestion but a mandatory precaution. Your insurance should encompass both medical expenses and emergency evacuation costs, with a minimum coverage of USD 100,000.

The allure of the Himalayas is accompanied by inherent risks, emphasizing the need for preparedness against unforeseen circumstances. Numerous insurance providers offer online services, affording you the flexibility to choose from a diverse range of options. Trekking in Nepal entails the possibility of minor health issues, injuries, and the critical concern of altitude sickness.

Opting for insurance that covers helicopter rescue costs for significant accidents or acute mountain sickness is crucial. In the event of an emergency evacuation, a helicopter becomes the lifeline, providing both ground evacuation and rescue operations.

Therefore, we insist that your travel insurance encompasses the expenses related to helicopter services and evacuation from the Himalayas.

Safety always takes precedence, and ensuring your insurance comprehensively covers these aspects from a reputable company is paramount. Be proactive in securing your safety before embarking on your journey with us.

Is Nepal Safe to Travel

Everyone has the only question in their mind right now is “Is Nepal Safe to travel?” Because of the concern on the devastation that earthquake brings, the focus it gets; the scenario has been made more significant than the actual situation. Since the Government of Nepal, Ministry of culture, Tourism, and Civil aviation, in its press release, has assured that Nepal is a safe and secure place to visit, there is no need to question the safety of travel in Nepal.

Nepal is rich in its beauty, and the earthquake has caused very little damage. Among 75 districts, only eight districts are affected, affecting the central and western districts only. Among ten national parks, only one is affected. Out of 8 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, only three sites are damaged. No effect in the highways and subways connecting major cities and towns; No effect in Nepal’s national and international airports; therefore, no risk to travel around. Only 2 out of 35 major trekking routes have been affected by the earthquake, making trekking in Nepal safe and okay. There has been no burst of epidemics or viral diseases. Communication in Nepal is not a problem with access to telephonic lines and the internet working fine and smoothly. There are plenty of hotels in Nepal and tourist destinations around which are completely safe.

Tourism is the primary source of the economy in Nepal. Most Nepalese are involved in tourism in various ways.
