Today marks the commencement of your Pisang Peak climbing adventure. Following the Pisang Peak Climbing itinerary, our journey to summit Pisang Peak begins in Kathmandu. Departing from the bustling city life, we will travel by bus to Besisahar, a journey that will take approximately 7-8 hours.

Day 2Besisahar to Bahundanda

During the bus ride, you will traverse through numerous small villages and lowlands, providing glimpses of Nepal’s natural beauty. Upon reaching Besisahar and navigating the rocky roads, you can relish the scenic landscapes, forests, and charming villages. After the long bus ride, we’ll enjoy dinner in Besisahar, spending the night at a tea house in preparation for the upcoming trek.

Day 3Bahundanda to Chamje

Our trek officially commences with a hearty breakfast in Besisahar. The 5-6 hour trek to Bahundanda takes us through suspension bridges, waterfalls, and picturesque subtropical forests. As we navigate the uphill and downhill trails, we’ll reach Bahundanda, a settlement of the Bahuns, where we’ll spend the night, exploring the unique culture and lifestyle of the village.

Day 4Chamje to Dharapani

Leaving the village of Chamje, we head towards Dharapani today. Crossing another suspension bridge, we enter the Manang District, characterized by Rhododendron and Bamboo forests. The trek offers views of barley fields and potatoes, specialties of the region. After reaching Tal, we’ll cross the river and proceed to Dharapani through cliffs and rocky terrain.

Day 05Dharapani to Chame

After a restful night in Dharapani, we set off for Chame. The 6-hour trek allows us to observe Tibetan-influenced culture and explore Tibetan villages, with Chame being the headquarters of the Manang District. We’ll spend the night in Chame, preparing for the next leg of our journey.

Day 06Chame to Upper Pisang

Today, we ascend in altitude, heading towards Upper Pisang after leaving Chame. The trek takes us through a dense pine forest, with notable attractions such as the Paungda Danda, a dramatically curved rock. As we approach Upper Pisang, the Annapurna Range comes into view, and we’ll spend the night in this elevated settlement.

Day 07Day Acclimatization at Upper Pisang

A day of acclimatization awaits us in Upper Pisang, crucial for adapting to the changing altitude. We’ll enjoy the views of the Annapurna range and Gangapurna, and take short detours to explore the region. With an overnight stay in Upper Pisang, we’ll set out early the next morning.

Day 08Trek to Pisang Peak Base Camp

Our destination today is the Pisang Peak Base Camp, situated at an altitude of 4380 meters. Leaving Upper Pisang, we face a steep ascent with rough and uphill trails. The journey includes passing through sparse forest areas and the scenic pasture land at Kharka, where we’ll spend the night in tented camps.

Day 09Trek to Pisang Peak High Camp

Next, we proceed to the Pisang Peak High Camp, a 4-5 hour trek from the Base Camp. This location, at an altitude of 5400 meters, is our launch point for the summit. The climb involves overcoming harsh terrain, and at the High Camp, preparations for the summit are made. The night is spent in tented camps.

Day 10Summit to the Peak and back to Base Camp

The much-anticipated day has arrived as we conquer the Pisang Peak Summit. The climb involves traversing steep snow slopes and technical sections, guided by experienced Sherpas. After reaching the summit and relishing the panoramic views, we descend to the Pisang Peak Base Camp for the night.

Day 11Pisang Peak Base Camp to Manang Valley

Following a night in the picturesque valley of Manang, we embark on the trail to Tilicho Lake, heading towards Yak Kharka at an altitude of 4110 meters. This small settlement offers breathtaking views of Tilicho Lake, and we spend the night immersing ourselves in its unique culture.

Day 12Manang to Yak Kharka

Our day begins with a short trek to Thorong Phedi, a stopover before the challenging Thorong La Pass at 5416 meters. After a 3-4 hour trek, we rest in Thorong Phedi, preparing for the upcoming day.

Day 13Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi

Early morning, we ascend Thorong La Pass, aiming to cross before noon to avoid challenging afternoon winds. The pass offers stunning views of the Annapurna Range. After crossing, we head to Muktinath, a sacred temple for Hindus and Buddhists, where we spend the night.

Day 14Cross Thorong la in morning and back to Muktinath

Descending from Muktinath, we reach Kagbeni, with a visit to the Muktinath Temple in the morning. Kagbeni, at the crossroads of two rivers, provides a rich cultural experience and beautiful mountain views. We spend the night in Kagbeni.

Day 15Trek down to Kagbeni

Our journey nears its end as we head to Jomsom, the last trek of the Pisang Peak climbing expedition. This town, known for its apple orchards, offers great mountain views. After a 3-4 hour trek, we spend the night in a tea house or lodge in Jomsom.

Day 16Trek to Jomsom

The final day involves an early flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, concluding our adventurous Pisang Peak Climb. The scenic flight takes approximately 25 minutes, ending our memorable journey with great memories.
