Itinerary

Day 1Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at the airport, one of our office representatives, identifiable by the company placard they carry, will meet you. They will then accompany you to the hotel for a brief meeting regarding the upcoming trek. The remainder of the day is free for you to spend as you wish.

Day 2Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi (1462m/4795ft) Distance - 130 KM, Driving Duration: 7 Hours

Commencing our journey to Langtang Valley, we will drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi by bus or jeep, tracing the Trishuli River along the highway. Passing through Dhunche, where Ganesh Himal is visible, we enjoy the scenic landscapes of terraced farmlands and green hills. The road becomes off-road after Dunche, persisting until we reach Syabru Bensi.

Overnight stay at the guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 3Trek to Lama Hotel (2500m/8200ft) Walking Distance - 11 to 12 km, Duration: 5 hours

After breakfast, prepare for a 5-hour hike along the Bhote Koshi River and Langtang Khola. Crossing suspension bridges, we trek through Bamboo (1960m) and Ramche (2400m), surrounded by lush forests and enchanting waterfalls. The trail may offer glimpses of Red Panda and Rhesus Monkey. Reach Gumanechok, housing Lama Hotel, where we spend the night.

Overnight stay at the guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 4Trek to Mundu (3543 m/11621 ft ) via Langtang Village, Walking Distance - 7-8 km, Duration: 6 hours

Departing from Lama Hotel, embark on a six-hour trek along the Langtang River, with Langtang Lirung’s majestic view. Passing through Ghoda Tabela (3000m), we traverse forested areas, yak pasturelands, and Tamang settlements adorned with prayer flags. After crossing the river, we reach Langtang Village (3500m) and continue to Mundu for the night.

Day 05Trek to Kyanjing Gompa (3798m/12495ft) Walking Distance - 6-7 km, Duration: 3-4 hours

Start the day early for a trek to Sindum and then towards Yamphu, crossing suspension bridges over the Laja Khola River. Trek up to Kyanjin Gompa for breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung and its ice formations.

Overnight stay at the guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 06Hike to Chorkari Ri (5050m/16564ft) Walking Distance - 14 km (Round Trips), Duration: 6-7 hours

Explore Kyanjin Gompa, visit the cheese factory, and optionally embark on a 7-hour hike to Chorkari Ri (5050m) for spectacular views. Alternatively, climb Kyanging Ri for a similar experience. Return to the village for an overnight stay, cherishing the memories.

Day 07Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2500m/8200ft) Walking Distance - 14-15 km, Duration: 5-6 Hours

Return to Lama Hotel with a 5-6 hour trek, descending downhill. Exercise caution as the trail becomes steep.

Day 08Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1462m/4795ft); Duration: 5-6 hours

Continue from Lama Hotel to Syabru Bensi with a 5-6 hour downward trek. Exercise caution on the descent.

Day 09Drive Back to Kathmandu

Leave Syabru Bensi and return to Kathmandu, completing the journey where it began.

To carry your daily necessities like cash, crucial papers, a water bottle or bladder, a camera, toiletries, sunscreen, a notebook, clothing, etc., you must have your own daypack (with a waterproof cover). You can store your luggage (non-trekking items) at the hotel in Kathmandu.  A down jacket with a hood is a must for altitudes above 4,000 m to keep warm. You can rent a down jacket for USD 35.
